I'm the girl behind Average Girl Does Cool Things.
I'm a Southern California based elder-millennial whose biggest budget item is travel. So far I've made it to five continents, thirteen countries, and all 50 US states. The more I travel, the more I want to travel.

But I'm not a travel influencer. I have a full time, demanding corporate job that I love. I love the stability it provides. I love the people I work with. I love the work I do. And yes, I love the big corporate paycheck that can sometimes feel like golden handcuffs.

Even with a full-time high-powered job, I find time to travel 30% of the year. Whether for work or fun, to see a new country or to see my best friend's new baby, or to just get away from the daily pace of everyday life, I have figured out how to maximize my resources so I can feed my travel addiction.

My goal at Average Girl is to share what I've learned and help you create a life you love. Because the life you want to live is totally possible - but you have to go after it and make it a reality.
